Thierry Bernard - Master perfumer, Assessor & Technical Advisor
Thierry Bernard has over 25 years experience as a perfumer and has been recognised as a Master Perfumer and nose by the French Society of Perfumers.
After graduating in 1983, from Toulouse University with a Phd in chemistry, specialised in oil refining and distilling and essential oils, Thierry moved to the island of Martinique in the French Caribbean where he became renowned as 'The Perfumer', importing aromatic raw materials, extracting essential oils from the West Indies and creating an exotic and island perfume line 'Nature & Parfums' under his company, Tropic'Arom.
Since 2010, Thierry has established his perfume lab in France and through his one-of-a-kind concept 'myfragrance.fr', he shares his passion for perfumes and strives to educate people to develop their sense of smell. He travels the world in his quest to identify new raw materials, combining his love for Nature and his extensive knowledge of organic chemistry.
In 2017, he launched the Haute parfumerie brand 'Parfumeurs du Monde', regrouping big players in the perfumery industry such as Michel Roudnistka, Bertrand Duchaufour, Jean-Claude Gigodot, Isabelle Gellé and Nathalie Feishauer amongst others. The brand focus is on one ingredient, one country, one story and on allowing the perfumers involved to be free of restrictions for creativity. The collection currently includes 14 perfumes sold in exclusive boutiques worldwide including the eponymous Jovoy Paris and jovoy mayfair.
