Our courses are vocational and focus on helping you, the student, to acquire the necessary and practical skills to work in the perfume, flavour and aroma industry, mostly as an independent perfumer. Since 2013, the Perfumery Art school has helped many students to establish themselves and go-ahead with their passion. See our Students Success stories. When you wish to join a major group as a perfumer, you will need to contact the company directly through their website and Recruitment sections. Most companies have their own internal school of perfumery and only accept a handful of students every year to cater for their own needs. It is very unlikely that you can join such a group if you are over 30. This is because newly trained perfumers (called 'junior perfumers') will need to work under the supervision of a senior perfumer for at least 7 years. During that time, it is very unlikely that you will actually formulate perfumes to launch but you will work as an assistant to the Master perfumer. Also, note that only a few have a 'natural fragrances' department (although this is changing due to the demand for 'green products') so you need to have a knowledge of working with aromachemicals to join. Many perfume houses require a Bachelor's degree in chemistry or similar.
We have partnerships with smaller and medium-sized established companies worldwide offering jobs or internship in Creative perfumery, formulation, marketing, essential oils extraction, manufacturing, contract services and many more. Whenever a placement is available, we announce it on our private WhatsApp group or our students' newsletter.
We cannot guarantee your placement but we are committed in helping you find that dream job in the exciting world of perfumes once you have graduated!
