What is the procedure for enrolment?

ONLINE COURSE PROGRAM
To enrol to the online course program, first check the academic year course intake dates where you will find the deadline for registration of each starting session. Then download, complete and return the registration form. Our committee will go through your application and you will promptly receive confirmation of acceptation by email. Only then will you be asked to make your payment.

WORKSHOPS, TRAINING COURSES AND SEMINARS
Browse the list of upcoming workshops scheduled. We endeavour to schedule our workshops at least 1 year in advance. But we may decide to add more workshops at short notice when the demand is high. Complete the booking form. Due to the very limited number of places available, it is recommended to send your booking form as soon as the workshop is publicised in order to secure your place. Your booking will be secured until the date specified to you in our acknowledgement of receipt message. Once we call for payments, you will need to pay by the deadline stated to confirm your place. It is important to take note of our Terms and Conditions for workshops. Note that the school reserves the right to cancel any scheduled workshop is the minimum number of participants has not been met. In this case, the school will either proceed to a refund or offer you an alternative date.

I have enrolled to the Certificate in Perfumery Art. Should I also join a workshop?

Most of our students who are serious about starting a perfumery business join a practice workshop at some point. There are many advantages to forecast a practical workshop in your budget:
  • You benefit from live tutor guidance which helps you clarify many aspects that might not be easily understood or picked up throughout the online course or to correct common mistakes all aspiring perfumers make
  • You accelerate your learning - particularly of the perfume creation processes - thus you may complete the online course program more quickly
  • You learn to work with professionals to industry standards

How am I assessed if I study perfumery online?

There are several manners we assess our students' learning. Apart from the tests, quizzes and assignments which are part of the online course, the most straightforward way to assess your practical work is to send your samples to us so that we can give you recommendations to improve your art.

How much time do I need to spare to study perfumery?

In order for you to acquire all the basic knowledge and principles to master the Art of perfumery, it is important that you take it seriously and that you spare at least 15 minutes per day and 1 full hour every week during your time off. This course is not the type of course that you can put aside until close to the completion deadline. You will need to ensure that you can organise your schedule to fit some learning everyday. At the end of the course program, you will have acquired all the knowledge necessary to create perfumes and apply them to many functional products. However, this will only be the beginning of your journey. Perfumery is a life long learning curve.

Will the aromatic materials and support accessories in the kit be enough to complete the course program?

The raw materials and accessories in your student's kit will be enough to perform most of the smelling exercises and the creation of the aromatic bases instructed in the course. However, you will need to consider purchasing extra materials midway. The school can supply you with high quality materials at very competitive prices since we purchase in bulk. The online shop is currently only available to our registered students or to those participants who have attended one of our workshops. When you register with us, we will give you the code to access the online shop.

What happens if I don't complete the course program by the deadline?

If you know that you may not be able to complete the course by the deadline stated, the first thing to do is to notify us about it so that we can give you an extension to the deadline. We invite you to read the Course Completion clause under 4. Conditions of use in our Terms and Conditions.
