The Perfumery Art School UK stems from the philosophy that perfuming arts should be accessible to all those who are willing to invest time and effort into developing fragrances created according to pre-20th century methods used by master perfumers from the House of Grasse, the world capital of perfumery.
Our mission is to shape up the future of independent artistic perfumery and to overturn the myth that perfume crafting is a secret held by a handful of 'noses' who know something you don't. The most famous master perfumers always stated that one does not need to be a chemistry expert in order to become a perfumer.
The creative and artistic mind combined with intuition and a great deal of patience as well as a knowledge of the structure behind a perfume suffice to embrace the exciting industry of fragrances and their application. In other terms, we want to revive the ART OF PERFUMERY which, over the last decades, has slowly been overwhelmed by regulatory burdens and promotion of synthetic raw materials.
The focus of all our courses - whether practical or online - is on the ART of the subject and not the Science, always using the most natural ingredients as possible.
