''I would like to thank Isabelle Gellé and The Perfumery Art School for giving me the wonderful opportunity to study to become a perfumer. The course content was concise and well constructed and this made the course easy to undertake at home. Isabelle is always available to provide guidance, feedback and advice which I have found very valuable and the opportunity to work with a Master Perfumery of her calibre has been an inspiring and wonderful experience.
I have to admit I have found perfumery the hardest thing I have ever embarked on from a point of view of achieving results (I have four university degrees in finance which were easy in comparison). However, patience, following the course work, putting in time and effort and help from Isabelle enabled me to complete the course and actually create a perfume.
I remember opening my student kit when it arrived and to be honest, it was like opening a door to a new chapter of my life. I remember thinking to myself that it would be quite an achievement to create a perfume that others buy and wear, my ability to leave a lasting mark on society. At the time I read somewhere that there were approximately 400 Master Perfumers in the world and I immediately registered a company name 'no. 401 Boutique Fragrance House' because I wanted to become Master Perfumer 401. The Perfumery Art School course has given me the opportunity to put my foot on the first rung of the Master Perfumer ladder. I have a long way to go but I know that after completing this course, I have the foundation to embark on a a career that will provide me with a lifetime of learning and the opportunity to start something fantastic that few have the opportunity to do.

When I enrolled for the 24 months course at the Perfumery Art School I had just finished a Swedish certificate in Fashion design. I found the same embodying satisfaction in the creative process of making perfume from the raw idea to the final olfactive creation. Isabelle and her pool of talented collaborators introduced me to the olfactive tools and mathematic skills to be able to translate a vision into a fragrance.
Months of dedication to the smelling exercises to build bridges between an odour and a memory of a place or a name, discipline to store the odours into the long-term memory, time and yogic dedication is necessary for the learning process to achieve its route. Isabelle has always been along my path to answer my questions and reassure me when in doubt, she is a rare talented mentor who sees in all her selected student the great possibilities they have deep inside them. I am a Medical Herbalist and chose to undertake my perfumery education at The Perfumery Art School with Isabelle Gellé, and have now completed the course.
This education of Art in scent was very in depth and hard work, yet Isabelle’s support and encouragement was limitless. I loved working through the modules, discovering new oils and creating new combinations and scents. I found the history module fascinating, truly inspirational and in my creations have likened the art of perfumery to music and colour as I progressed. Perfumery is no easy path to follow and hugely frustrating at times, yet Isabelle was forever patient with me and through her kind words of understanding and encouragement have now created my first two Parfums, which I absolutely adore, as do my customers!

Thank you for a truly professional, inspirational and excellent course. I have been moving from 'classic' aromatherapy as taught by therapy education councils towards emotional and spiritual fragrancing using natural oils, and your class perfectly bridges the transition. As you say, therapeutic blends can be medicinal, but in my experience selecting a person's favourite fragrant oils gives the soul that extra special lift.
The synergies created by complex blends is surely far more powerful than simple combinations. Your class has started me on a wonderful, infinite course of blending and discovery, and has lifted my aromatherapy practice into the realms of the divine!
