John R. W. Marchant - Head of IT, Social media and Students Services
John spent 25 years of his professional life in the Royal Navy where he held several key positions involving civilian and high sea security. He ended his exciting career as a Petty Officer. In his leisure time, he developed an advanced knowledge in 3D software animation (Maya and Lightwave) and contributed as a hobbyist to the design of some famous HOLLYWOOD box-office successes.
An IT savvy with an extensive knowledge of network set up and an excellent control over social media, he is always up-to-date with technology. In his civilian life, he IS responsible for the IT and accounting setup of the Perfumery Art School. HE IS THE GUY WHO ALSO ANSWERS STUDENTS ENQUIRIES THAT ARE NOT necessarily PERFUMERY-RELATED.
John is a drawing artist and is passionate about Egyptian culture and Art. He is also an activist in marine animal and sea-bed protection. His worldwide travels have made him naturally curious about perfume heritage in the countries where he lived, with a particular interest in South East Asia aromas, herbs and spices.
