Passionate about organic chemistry, Christian first thought to work as a laboratory technician.
while still a student, he realized that the path of Perfumery was the one to follow and worked towards obtaining a Master's degree in General Chemistry specializing in the field of aromas, perfumes and cosmetics.
christian learned the basics of the Art of Perfumery through a scientific approach, the well-known classification of 'Le Champ des Odeurs®' and also chromatography analysis techniques.
For HIM, the creation of perfume is similar to scientific research: "somehow, whereas researchers seek to synthesize new products or to discover new materials, Perfumers are constantly on the lookout for new accords, balance and expression. It is therefore important to keep the rigour of scientific reasoning as it helps to channel ideas and to work in a methodical way”.
over time, christian specialised in perfumery within major international markets such as the middle east and Asian markets. he created both Fine and functional Perfumery products for corporations in some of those countries such as egypt or singapore.
NOW Working as an Independent artistic Perfumer and consultant, based in Paris, his focus is to develop signature scents and assist with olfactory marketing for corporations.
with such a passion for his work and his innate desire to share his knowledge, christian is an excellent addition to our teaching team and to our students!
