LEARNING ENVIRONMENT

Learning method

At the Perfumery Art school UK, we want to facilitate your learning so that it is informative and fun!

A blend of lecture, interactive activities, visuals and multimedia is used to keep you interested at all times. Each module contains a series of quick exercises and quiz and you can access at all times to the e-Library & Resources area through this website, using the school's password which has been given to you. We do recommend you make the best use of these resources as they will prove valuable to expand your knowledge of the Art of Perfumery.

To blend your learning with a more social environment,  we invite you to be part of our private Perfumery Art students' group on WhatsApp where you will meet other peers from the Perfumery Art School UK or like-minded guests and discuss your progress, ideas and discoveries during your perfumer's training. This forum is an excellent platform to ask questions and get real-time answers from tutors and from other learners.

IMPORTANT!! To facilitate your learning, and in order for you to follow a structured approach, you can only access the next module upon completion of the previous one (this includes the marking of any assignment by your tutor when applicable). The end of a module is an opportunity for your tutor to schedule a progress call in order to ensure you are ready to move to the next module. We found that this method allows the student to focus on what is to be learnt at the time without being distracted by what is contained in the next lessons and modules.

However, for those students eager and curious to discover more, accessing and browsing the many documents and medias from the eLibrary will allow you to satisfy your curiosity! Self-motivation, self-discipline and patience are key to your success in this course.

Assessment method

Continual assessment is the primary method used, whereby students are required to submit a question paper to their personal tutor at times.

The submitted paper is marked P (Pass) or F (Fail) - If failed, the student will be required to submit again based on the tutor's comments before being able to continue to the next stage.

This assessment method ensures that the personal tutor can consistently monitor the student's progress and provide them with assistance throughout the duration of the course. It is intended that the assessment process for all of our courses is one which enables our students to demonstrate their understanding of the learning material and the practical application of concepts.

For the perfumery course, the creation of your SIGNATURE perfume is part of the assessment process and to avoid costly shipping costs, the student only needs to submit their completed perfume at the end of the course before completion and before receiving their certification and accreditation.
